The 13th annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival takes place from April 4 to 27, 2019 at various iconic locations across Vancouver. 

Thursday, April 4, 12pm -1:30pm - Cherry Jam Downtown concert at Burrard SkyTrain Station - showcasing multicultural performances. - FREE

Thursday, April 11 to Saturday, April 13, dusk-10pm - Spring Lights Illumination at Stanley Park (near Japanese War Memorial) - evening illumination installation of vibrant projections. - FREE

Saturday, April 13, 12pm - 3pm - The Big Picnic at Queen Elizabeth Park (Cambie and 33rd Ave.) - Vancouver's largest spring picnic with community vendors and cultural performances! - FREE

Saturday, April 13 to Sunday, April 14, 10am-5pm, 10am-5pm - Sakura Days Japan Fair sponsored by JTB International and Silkway Travel at VanDusen Botanical Garden - Celebrates the modern and traditional Japanese cultural arts with vendors and performances. - TICKETS AVAILABLE MID-MARCH

Sunday, May 5, 6:30pm -9:30pm - Sakura Night at Stanley Park Pavilion - A celebration of culture and cuisine. An evening fundraiser for VCBF featuring top chefs in Vancouver! - TICKETED

April 1-27 – Tree Talks & Walks 8 guided, interpretive walks exploring various Vancouver neighbourhoods and green spaces including: UBC, Queen Elizabeth Park, Oakridge/South Cambie/Riley Park, Hastings-Sunrise, Stanley Park, Oppenheimer Park, Downtown West End, Coal Harbour, and VanDusen Botanical Garden. No registration required! –FREE

Ongoing Programs

March 1 – June 1 Haiku Invitational (online) presented by Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd. An online international literary contest in six winning categories: Best Vancouver, BC, Canada, US, International and Youth. Poems are evaluated by our panel of prestigious judges and results are shared in September.

April 4-27 – BC Blossom Photo Watch (online), this photo contest inspires Vancouverites to capture the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms and all the fun memorable moments!
